Can I use the clubhouse if my child is a member but I am not? - Yes. You have Associate Membership of the Sports Club and are welcome to use the clubhouse and bar facilities from one hour before your child starts to play to one hour after your child has finished playing.
Which is the "relevant date" for the ages listed in the above table? - All of the ages quoted above refer to the age on 4th September 2011.
Can I just be a social member? - Yes. You may join Hampton Sports Club as a social member. The Club Chairman (John Eccleston) is responsible for Social Membership; his details are on the main notice board.
How do I pay? - Please complete and sign the membership form and bring it or post it to the club with your payment. Cheques made payable to “Hampton-In-Arden Sports Club”, the address is Shadowbrook Lane, Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull, B92 0DQ. Envelopes can be left behind the bar marked for the attention of the Squash Membership Secretary.
How do I get into the clubhouse? – Access to the club is by key fob through the outer front door at any time of the day. If you are a member and over 14 you may purchase a key fob from the bar on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 9pm at a cost of £5. Faulty key fobs will be exchanged free of charge. If you lose your key fob please report its loss to the bar on a Tuesday evening so that access to the clubhouse on that fob can be disabled to avoid compromising security. After 9:30pm the inner door will be locked and you will need to ring the bell to gain entry. The bar staff will release the lock after checking on the video monitor behind the bar that it is safe to do so. If you find yourself leaving at a time when there is no one else in the clubhouse please remember to lock all doors and windows before you leave so that security is not compromised.
Court Bookings – courts can be booked up to 14 days in advance using our online booking system, https://www.ebookingonline.net/box/box3.php?id=29, by logging into your own account or using the touch-screen at the club. Further details available at the club website, http://www.hamptonsquash.org.uk/. Courts are paid for using your light card or cash in the machine at the court entrance. Off peak play is £1 and peak £2 (10p, 20p, 50p, and £1 coins are accepted) per session, 40 minutes playing time.
Visitors – all visitors, playing or non-playing, should be signed into the club. Non- playing £1 per visit. Playing visitors should also deposit a £2 coin in the light machine (no light time is given with a £2 coin) or pay £3 at the bar if using the other club facilities, maximum 3 visits per year as a guest. The signing in book for visitors is kept at the bar.
Junior members – under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult, especially in the court and balcony area. Eye protectors must be worn when on court.
Clothing and Footwear – non- marking clean footwear must be worn on court. Outdoor shoes are not allowed. Players clothing while on court must be acceptable and within the rules of squash and racketball.
Membership of England Squash – all members are automatically enrolled to England Squash, your details are passed over to them.
